Cathy Mann Cathy has been studying, practicing, and teaching in the yoga, meditation, and wellness fields extensively for over twenty years. She is a certified Hatha yoga teacher and a 500- hour ERYT Registered Yoga Teacher with the National Yoga Alliance. She has studied directly with Patricia Walden for the past ten years and is a graduate of her Iyengar Teacher Training program. She has also studied extensively at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, is a Reiki Master, and a Cranial Sacral Therapist trained through the Upledger Institute. She is a member of and workshop leader/coordinator for the Oneness Movement, a group dedicated to the transformation of man’s consciousness. Cathy is also a member of the Finding Inner Peace Yoga School faculty for both their 200-hour and 500-hour teacher training. Cathy is available for private instruction and group classes within any corporate or community setting. The Yoga Studio also offers: Ear Candling: Experience this relaxing, non-invasive technique used to soothe the ears and relieve discomfort due to excess wax build up and other ear-related conditions. Common conditions that have benefited from this technique include hearing loss, ear congestion due to colds, allergies and sinus congestion and tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Private Yoga Therapy: -Nurture the body, mind and spirit with a yoga energy session -work on specific physical ailments or emotional blocks -improve your understanding of yoga postures and the energy dynamics to enhance overall health and peace of mind -esign a personal practice suited to your individual needs and goals Shiatsu: Shiatsu is a Japanese healing technique utilizing soft finger pressure. Shiatsu combines massage and acupressure to relieve fatigue, revitalize weak organs, boost the immune system, release muscle tightness and prevent disease by facilitation circulation along the meridians. Thai Yoga Bodywork: Thai Massage is a mix of assisted hatha yoga, shiatsu and massage. It is a very energizing flow of breathwork and stretching, effecting the musculoskeletal level, regulating and integrating all vital systems in the whole body. This therapeutic "dance" combines 2 for the price of one: massage with a built-in yoga session. Thai massage shows to be very efficient in cases of insomnia and tremendous help after giving birth. CranioSacral Therapy: CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions int he craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. By completing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction including: migraines, chronic neck and back pain, autism, scoliosis, learning disabilities, chronic fatigue, PTSD and fibromyalgia and other Connective-Tissue Disorders.
