About Us 
We are a family owned & operated child care & Preschool facility. We offer both full time and part time availability for children 2.9 years old up to 7 years of age. Our centers are conveniently located on VFW Parkway in West Roxbury within great office park (with plenty of parking). We service all surrounding communities including Boston, S. Brookline, Newton, Needham, Dedham, Westwood, Norwood, and Sharon. We would like to invite you and your child to join our fun learning group, where parents, children, and teachers can experience the determination of our center .

Our Philosophy & Goal
We know that choosing the right daycare center and preschool for your child is a crucial decision and will impact your child’s growth and development. We at “Welcome Childcare and Preschool” pride ourselves on our knowledge and experience of childhood education. Our philosophy for the center is to provide each individual child with love, support and respect; along with the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of hands on activities. Our daily goal is to provide a learning experience that is safe, clean while in a nurturing environment. We believe in valuing each child regardless of ethnic background, race, color or religious beliefs. By working together we develop your child into a successful early achiever.

Our Programs 
Our programs are carefully selected and designed to promote social, emotional, intellectual, physical and cognitive development appropriate for all ages and skill levels. All of our programs enjoy weekly Music and Yoga Classes. Annually we host a Tea Party, Christmas Party, Halloween Party, Book Fair, Puppet Show, Pool Party, Bubble Man Family Picnic, Children’s concerts and many other parent, student and teacher engaging special events!  We also celebrate all birthdays and holidays of our children, parents and staff.

Our activities
Our daily activities include age appropriate toys. Our teachers are fully engaged in group or individual activities; while enforcing proper mannerism. Our activities include, but are not limited to: Manipulative Play- building blocks, connecting toys, puzzles, railway games, and leggos etc, Sensory Play- water play, whip cream/shaving cream, finger painting etc, Active Play- Exercise and dancing with teachers, our personal playground, walks and buggy rides. Dramatic Play- each classroom has dress up clothes and a kitcheп set area etc. Science and Math- age appropriate experiments for our weekly curriculum, color discovery, world discovery, simple counting and math, encouraging the use of our five senses, nature walks. Language and Story- Daily library reading time, songs, live accordion player, daily Spanish taught in each of our classroms.  Arts and Crafts- creative art projects based on the weekly theme, we use materials such as: beads, feathers, pompoms, and stickers.

Our Teachers 
All of our teachers and assistants are certified by the department of ECC; each holding an associate and or bachelor degree in childhood education. Our amazing staff includes experts in music, dance, language, art, and sporting activities. They are all trained according to the centers philosophy, values, and policies. It is certain that we keep you and your child’s best interest in mind. All of our classrooms have been newly renovated to provide a safe, clean, and friendly environment for your child.

The philosophy of Preschool Center  is to provide each individual child with love, support and respect; to provide each child with the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of activities and learn process; to provide a safe, clean and nurturing environment in which each child will feel loved, valued and respected, regardless of ethnic background, race, color or religious beliefs. By working together we develop your child into a successful “Big school student”.

Age appropriate skills and concepts will be the basic foundation of our curriculum. Opportunities for practice of these skills and understanding of these concepts will be provided through themes based on the children’s interest. We make every attempt to adapt our program to fit the needs of the child rather than expect all children to fit into already established program. Our staff lovely encourages all children to be active learners and participate in activities  and child care programs such as:

• Active play with age proper toys-(buggy rides, block building, puzzles, railways, games playing with group and individually
• Science and nature-world discovery, international cultures, classes of good manners, simple counting, math
• Reading, Listening and Speaking-language and vocabulary development, story time, finger plays, dramatis play, role playing, Puppy Theatre, alphabet and children literature
• Music (live musician with an accordeon) and dancing-making music, singing song, dance, children skills concert presentation
• Art and Craft-(Art-Studio, discover of colors, painting, drawing, application making, beading, cooking, sculpturing
• Baby Yoga and Sport -creative body movement, sport games
• Fields trip -isiting zoo, museums, farms, library, school
• Birthdays and Holidays celebration with child creativity and parents participation
