Pathways to Wellness
Pathways to Wellness takes great care and responsibility that its practitioners are highly trained and talented in their fields. Additionally, most clinicians are trained at Pathways by Assistantship and Internship to acquire the knowledge and skills in treatment of chronic and difficult conditions.
Our clinicians attend monthly clinical trainings that we provide which are approved for continuing credit by the Massachusetts Board of registration in Medicine. We offer advanced herbal and acupuncture internship. Our staff has taught our methods both nationally and internationally and are regularly asked to present at national and regional conferences and seminars.
Pathways practitioners have immediate access to fellow practitioners of both similar and diverse therapies for consultation. Additionally, the Clinical Director is available for consultation.
Acupuncturists
All Pathways acupuncturists are licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and are additionally trained by Pathways over a period of years. Many are or have been instructors at New England School of Acupuncture and many have additional private practices outside of Pathways in various parts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Chinese Herbalists
Pathways operates a full service Chinese Herbal pharmacy with consultations with highly trained Licensed herbalists. Chinese herbs are most effective when used in combination and individualized for each client. Thus herbs are not over-the-counter pills or capsules.
Asian Bodywork Therapists
Pathways is committed to providing bodywork styles that are not only pleasing but therapeutic. We are certain to provide practitioners that are experienced in the treatment of chronic conditions and can vary their techniques to suit the individual client.
AIDS Care Project
The AIDS Care Project (ACP) provides complementary therapies for people living with HIV/AIDS. Our services include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, craniosacral therapy, and shiatsu massage. We collaborate with our clients to create a balance of mind, body, and spirit in a calm and healing environment.
Using a public health model, ACP works in communities where HIV disease is prevalent to insure equal access to treatment, to provide appropriate care, and to educate the public and healthcare providers about the effects that traditional East Asian medicine has on HIV/AIDS. Through federal and local public health funding, we are able to offer services at low or no cost to clients. Our healing, education, and research activities are all client-centered with the goal of empowering individuals to have an expanded role in their healthcare.
