A basic eye exam will consist of an optometrist going over your eye history and then checking your eyes for low vision or other issues. An intraocular pressure check can identify glaucoma and other screenings can uncover diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, macular degeneration, hypertensive retinopathy, myopia, presbyopia and others. We can address issues with red eye, dry eye, lazy eye, allergies or computer related vision issues. We can assist with the fitting and selection of prescription eyeglasses and we regularly do contact lenses fittings. We explain in detail everything we identify in eye tests and provide as much information as possible to our clients so they understand their options and situation.
Children benefit from seeing an optometrist as early as six months of age and should continue to see an eye doctor regularly throughout their life. Our exams are non-invasive and explained to children during the process so they are more comfortable.
