Bernard`s Jewelers Bernard`s Jewelers was established in 1934 by Raymond Tetrault, Sr. during a time when Salem was a bustling downtown shopping community. Since that time downtown Salem has seen many changes but Bernard`s has remained steadfast as a destination.
Recently the store was awarded the "Main Street Main Stay Award 2004" by the Salem Main Street Initiative. Sons Ray Jr. and Tom Tetrault, owners since 1978, have continued the family tradition of unparalleled personal service. Ray and Tom feel a high level of responsibility to each customer and take pride in the fact that they personally hand-pick the jewelry and merchandise.
The store continues to grow and thrive in Salem as generation after generation of customers return to shop for all their jewelry and gift needs. Bernard`s also offers a diamond upgrade program. We work with our customers to upgrade the size, quality and color of their diamonds. We also add diamonds and other precious stones to existing pieces for more brilliance and design enhancement.Bernard`s Jewelers carries a large selection of 14K, 18K, platinum, gemstone and sterling silver jewelry in classic to contemporary designs. Floor clocks are delivered and set up free of charge!Bernard`s carries the Byers` Choice line in its entirety. We also have a selection of hard-to-find retired pieces.
We offer a wide array of jewelry repair services including ring sizing and rebuilding, restringing of beads and pearls, stone/pearl replacement and chain repairs. We do prong inspection of rings, jewelry cleaning and also watch batteries and band adjustments while you wait.
We can provide you with insurance appraisals for jewelry and for sterling silver flatware and/or hollowware. We offer silverplating on antique servingware, baby shoe bronzing and machine or hand engraving (on items purchased in the store).
We replace batteries, crystals, stems and crowns for all makes of watches. We have the capabilities to clean and totally overhaul your timepiece to put it in excellent working order.
