Located only 7 miles west of Boston, we are a very popular destination for the rare combination of dining and dancing. Karoun's amazing party atmosphere on Friday and Saturday nights features live International Music and dazzling Belly Dance shows in Newton, MA at 9:30 in the evening. Dining and dancing on our spacious dance floor is available for private Groups/Events seven days a week.

When I opened the original Karoun Cafe Restaurant on Newbury Street in 1977, I never imagined enjoying such success and longevity in this business. My sisters - Mary, Nora and Roushi - are as involved as ever with the daily operation, and my parents are still actively preparing their homemade specialties in the kitchen.
Our menu is famous for the sizzling kebabs, delectable appetizers and scrumptious desserts prepared according to our own family recipes. We incorporate traditional Middle-Eastern and Armenian dishes and also explore Mediterranean and other Eastern cuisines.
Karoun also features an awesome Wine Collection and full bar service.
Groups and Events
Group Events
Karoun is known for customizing affordable dinner packages to suit gatherings from 10-180. Birthdays, showers, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, retirements and even cozy weddings.
On Friday and Saturday nights, groups enjoy the amazing party atmosphere, the live house band and the spectacular Belly Dance show. Prices start at just $39 per person and include a multi-course dinner, coffee and dessert (tax, gratuity and liquor additional).
Selections from our vast wine cellar and full bar menu can be added.
Early dinners are available, from our menu, for guests departing by 8:30.
By popular demand, the Karoun Restaurant also features a special Banquet Menu for groups looking for a truly memorable evening.
Private Events
Karoun is available for completely private events. Events can be scheduled Sunday through Thursday in the day or evening as well as on Saturday from Noon to 5pm.
Fundraisers
Karoun offers special pricing for non-profit fundraising events. Pricing starts at $25 per person and include a multi-course meal, live band and spectacular Belly Dance show.

Belly Dance
Many of our shows feature the world renowned dancers Salisa, Lilya and Melina. Melina presents her art with passion, fun, fire and grace. She is noted for her precision technique, finger cymbals mastery, Dionysian gypsy leaps & spins and acrobatic agility. She specializes in balancing a large bronze tray of lit candles on her head while belly dancing, performing deep backbends and articulate floorwork all the while. International Music
Our house band is considered one of the best in the Boston area for traditional and modern Mediterranean music. They are well versed in Middle-Eastern, Armenian as well as other Eastern favorites. Our band's lively rhythms and well crafted vocals create a special atmosphere during your meal. Afterwards, the party truly begins when Karoun's dance floor opens and the band's energetic music and song really gets the party started!
