With the restaurant's location in Boston's busy South End, Settles wisely added a separate take-out counter with its own entrance. Bringing Bob's home is a thriving aspect of the overall business, along with its relatively new catering arm. The popularity of Bob's soul food has allowed the catering business to grow into a major component of the operation, servicing clients such as The Boston Red Sox, Harvard University, Boston College and MIT, The Wang Theatre, The Huntington and many others. In 1998, Settles arranged for Bob the Chef's to service thousands of Red Sox fans at a concession stand in historic Fenway Park. Today, the restaurant has a catering arrangement with the Park's corporate suites. Settles recently developed a partnership with the acclaimed Gourmet Caterers of Boston, allowing Bob the Chef's to better service its expanding client base. The team also has plans for a number of new ventures in around Boston.
