Meritor Academy is a small school making a big impact in offering strong tradition core courses for students while also addressing the greater call from educators to step up programming in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). In addition to the highly qualified teachers in the classroom, Meritor Academy employs specialty faculty to teach, Russian math, science and engineering labs, global studies, art, Spanish, music, physical education, and library.
Expectations for academic and social/emotional growth are high at Meritor Academy, and our trained staff are able to create individualized learning plans for each student so that they can achieve the most of their potential as students and as citizens in the community.
Meritor Academy has developed a system of learning that offers each student a level of instruction appropriate to his or her needs in a given area. Academic challenge is important for all of the students at Meritor including the most gifted students. Studies are expanded for students who are ready for more detailed work and higher expectations. Meritor Academy teachers are trained to maximize learning for each student, and design their lessons to meet the pace required to stimulate all the minds in their classrooms.
Teachers are able to better customize student learning because Meritor Academy is committed to small class sizes and low student to teacher ratios. Not only is the school community a warm, safe setting, it is a place where each child is known and appreciated for the strengths that he or she brings to the class. An education at Meritor is more than a rote study of books, it is a rich interactive experience with similarly gifted peers and adept teachers.

| Meritor Academy is a great school for any family that wants their child to be challenged academically, and nurtured in a small classroom environment. The math and science are outstanding as is the arts program. Russian math specialist and science and engineering programs are new this year, and have completed the educational team with just the expertise needed to deliver outstanding STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programming. |

| One of the best attributes of Meritor Academy is its small class size. The individual attention our kids receive is invaluable. The teacher, headmaster and staff are so committed to giving the students the best educational experience, as well as ensuring that they are well-rounded in the arts. The curriculum is challenging and keeps our kids engaged. We have been particularly impressed this year with the "Russian Math" program. We highly recommend Meritor to families in the area looking for an exceptional education for their children. |

| I switched my son from a Montessori school to Meritor Academy this year and am finding that he is much more motivated to do well in school. He is finding the material challenging enough to keep him engaged and now talks about how much he loves the science and art projects! The fact that they have incorporated Singapore and Russian Math 5 days a week ensures that we are getting a great value out of this private school. We love that the teachers and staff are committed to getting the best out of the students and parents are highly involved in the parent organization. |
