General Landscape Corporation (GLC)

GLC is a company with a growing reputation for creative ideas, using the most practical approach. Owner and founder, Steven Gosdanian, a Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional, with a B.S. in Horticulture finds the keys to success are providing the highest quality service and a top value for your dollar. By addressing the particular concerns of each customer, we can determine the most cost effective way to implement a plan.
GLC Landscape Designs offer you a "Practical Approach". What can we create for you?
We don't create cookie cutter versions of plant combinations.
A good landscape design is largely a problem-solving activity. We can help you to solve your problems by analyzing your site and your needs.
We can help the do-it-yourselfer save long hours in the planning process.
We can help discover your landscape needs, and make good use of the information given to you. We will be there for you through e-mail during your installation process.

Trees in an urban setting depend on our help or they can die from neglect. Trees will show signs of stress. Look for change in leaf color, misshapen leaves, thinness of the canopy, and early loss of leaves. Overhanging branches, rotting trees, and dead branches can jeopardize the safety of your children and your house, not to mention the trees themselves.
  Quality comes from understanding Horticulture.
Having a multi-year plan in mind will help keep overall tree care costs down, and for scheduling during the winter months.
We can help you stay focused on the most practical approach.
Healthy trees around your house can increase the value of your property. Tree Hazard and Damage Check List:
You can inspect your tree for possible problems: (a) Do you see any peeling bark or rotting branches? (b) Do you see any cavities, cracks, or peeling bark at the root zone? (c) Any mushrooms or decay fungus? (d) Is there a structural problem, a V-crotch, hanging branches, or Animal nests? (e) Are there any visible cracks? (f) Does the tree lean in any way beyond its normal form? (g) Look for Root rotting, or girdling roots. (h) Any storm or construction injury present? (i) Has there been soil compaction, poor drainage, salt damage, lighting injury, or draught stress?

Our Programs can be custom tailored because:
Trees, shrubs, and lawns need more care in a suburban enviroment.
Untreated problems can lead to irreversible damage to your plants, and be a safety concern.
GLC recognizes that every property is different and that every plant offers its own challenges.
Plants are a significant asset to your property.

*** 1 Review for General Landscape Corporation (GLC)
Bad 06/14/2011  William Varrell    Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts
Never trust a word Steve from GLC says, he's a total crook! I hired him to remove several large bushes from around my house which he did and I was satisfied. The next spring I hired him to come back and plant some new bushes and hydroseed part of my lawn. He charged over $2500 to do the work and it was terrible. I did not have one blade of grass grow in the yard. The bushes he planted looked scrawny and several did not last the winter. When I called and asked him to come back and replace them he refused, even though he guarenteed the work for a year. He tries to come off as a small business man trying to run an honest business. Unfortunately, he's just a thief who will steal your money and there's nothing you can do about it.
