Flansburgh Associates, Inc. Founded in 1963, the firm, while well known for its educational niche market, serves a broad range of clients, both nationally and internationally. Our mission is to provide quality service to our clients in the pursuit of design excellence. As one of our principals is fond of saying, "Perfect is good enough!" Our goal, always, is to involve our clients with an integrated, inclusionary team approach to the design process. We are committed to leadership in innovative and creative project-specific solutions that respond to our client's needs. To this end, FAI is committed to attracting and retaining competent and motivated staff by providing a supportive and nurturing work environment. For over three decades, Flansburgh Associates has specialized in the planning and design of educational facilities. Clients have included Bentley College, Boston College, Cornell University, Clark University, Harvard University, Smith College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and numerous K-12 public, private and charter schools. While educational projects continue to be a major part of the practice, the scope of projects undertaken by the firm include numerous building types for business, real estate and industry. Flansburgh Associates' diverse group of clients include such companies as Fidelity, State Street Bank, John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company, Life Care Services Corporation, Steelcase, Inc., Reebok, Ropes & Gray, Wellington Management, as well as developers Trammell Crow and Gerald D. Hines. In addition, the firm is involved in a substantial amount of work for municipal and government agencies, such as the City of Boston Public Facilities Department, National Park Service, General Services Administration, U.S. Department of State, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, DCAM.
