Bromer Booksellers rare and beautiful books
Rare Books are personal and thoughtful gifts for special occasions, whether or not the recipient is a serious collector. A favorite author or subject is a unique way to acknowledge birthdays, holidays, or any special event. A rare book makes a special impression at a time of retirement or as an unusual corporate gift for a valued collaborator. Rare books appeal to one's memory of an important writer or artist from childhood or school years, or to one's professional pursuits. At Bromer Booksellers, we carry a diverse selection of highlights in literature, illustrated books, finely printed books, and special artistic bindings. Miniature books are whimsical tokens, and we are noted for having a fine selection from which to choose. Our years of experience place us in the enviable position of assisting you in finding the perfect rare book.

In addition, we have provided appraisals for a number of these major institutions. Anne has written articles, and a biography of Dorothy Abbe, which was published as Strings Attached by the Boston Public Library and the Society of Printers in 2000. She is currently co-writing a full color history on the subject of miniature books, which will be published in 2007 by Harry N. Abrams. David serves as a Trustee on the Board of The Associates for the Boston Public Library, and he is currently working on an updated bibliography of Aldous Huxley. In 2005 the Bromers established a Rare Book Fund at the Boston Public Library to further educate the citizens of Boston about the hidden treasures of the Library.
