Center for Asian Martial Arts
The Center for Asian Martial Arts teaches internal and external martial arts to all ability and age levels six days per week. Our highly qualified Instructors will help you reach your goals both mentally and physically through traditional martial arts. We teach three external styles: Kong Su Do (tae kwon doe), Udo (jujitsu), Chin Na (aikido/hapkido) - three internal styles: Kung Fu, Bagwa Zhang, Tai Chi, 18 Weapons (ship pal gye) and Samurai. We offer adults classes with flexible hours and very dedicated instructors.
True (natural) Martial Arts movements may be different than most people think or even know about. For hundreds of years martial arts were used not only  as a means of self defense but also to rejuvenate the body with  forms and  movements. This is why we are honored to teach many of these forms at the Body Mind Systems Training Centers.
Movements and forms taught in  all the schools have been exclusively passed down from generation to generation here in the United States for over 25 years.  The main focus at each school has always been on the individual student and their development.  We believe that “self defense against a person or two is relatively easy, defending against nature (age) is not”. This is why, our main focus has always been on developing the human body not just defending it.
In martial arts, unlike sports, you’re never too old to learn and develop. Aging may bring with it more physical restrictions, but fewer mental and internal ones - when you’re young it is sometimes  harder to understand the importance of the physical (external) because it is naturally there, however, there may be more mental (internal) restrictions due to a lack of life wisdom (maturity). The decision to become mentally and physically stronger is never a bad decision.
Martial Arts Taught:
Kung Fu – Movements are circular and smooth, and originated from the observation of animals and elements in nature.
Tai Chi – An internal form that can increase the oxygen intake into the bloodstream improving circulation, stamina, and endurance.
Bagua Zhang – Bagua enables the body to move like a coiled spring, developing flexibility, strength, and power.
Ship Pal Gye (18 Weapons) – Weapon practice can develop an individual faster than empty hand training alone, as it increases the Practitioner’s focus and concentration.
Kom Do (Samurai Sword) – Can be practiced with a metal, wooden, or bamboo blade.  Movements are straight and direct, moving from one point to another.
Kong Su Do (Tae Kwon Do) – Hard-style, linear movements that build external strength.
Aikido/Hapkido – Close range self-defense using joint manipulation.
Yudo (Judo/Jujitsu) – Yudo involves learning how to roll, fall without injury, and use your opponent’s energy against them during self-defense.
