International Society for Krishna Consciousness
Progressive initiation into Krishna Consciousness is a simple but powerful process for spiritual growth under the guidance of senior devotees. Based on strategies developed by Srila Bhakti Vinoda Thakura, Asraya Krama leads devotees at their own pace to the fullness of Krishna Consciousness, while fully respecting their specific situations.
Sanctify and bring auspiciousness to your life by undergoing the purificatory processes ordained in the Vedas. Ordained Vaisnava Brahmanas will perform traditional samskaras for you and your loved ones for Engagement and Marriage; Birth and Childhood Observances; Adult Life Transitions; Home, Office and Vehicle Blessings; Birthdays and Other Special Occasions; Retirement and End of Life Sacraments; and Funerals and Memorials.
Bhakti Vriksha (Branches of Devotion) brings Krishna Consciousness to the lives of householder devotees through home programs. Devotees chant the Holy Name, read the scriptures together, share their experiences and realizations in Krishna Consciousness, and support each other in spiritual growth and cultivation.
Devotees have the responsibility to raise Krishna Conscious children, and the Temple assists parents by developing children’s programs, including a Sunday School for children 5-years and older, and other fun and spiritually uplifting activities for the youngest devotees.
The New Gundicha Temple adheres to the standards of the worldwide ISKCON Child Protection Office, and strives to protect children and encourage their safe development.
Gundicha Temple seeks to discover and implement novel and effective strategies for dissemination, including direct and passive book distribution by devotees; sponsored placement in libraries, correctional institutions, and hotels; Internet and cable broadcasting; weekend and holiday book tables; and other strategies.
Srila Prabhupada desired that devotees strive to feed the hungry within a 10-mile radius of every Temple. Food For Life (FFL) brings Lord Krishna's prasadam (sanctified vegetarian nutrition) to the poor, the homeless, the homebound, and all suffering living entities. FFL also conducts extensive disaster relief throughout the world. New Gundicha serves in excess of 10,000 plates of nutritious prasadam locally every year, and works collaboratively with the worldwide Hare Krishna Food For Life to bring prasadam and disaster relief to the suffering living entities throughout the world.
