Background and Experience
Ms. Mancini Gough holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance/Education and has performed extensively throughout New England as a wedding and church soloist. She has been employed for the past 11 years as soprano soloist for the First Unitarian Church, Worcester, MA, performing a vast range of genres from classical to jazz. As a recitalist, she has presented numerous programs in the New England area, Philadelphia and New York City. Her training and years of experience have made her a knowledgable and sensitive performer, equally comfortable in various styles.
In the jazz world, Jean has studied with veteran singers Sheila Jordan and Jay Clayton at the Vermont Jazz Center and is presently the featured vocalist with the Jay Tyer Group. She also serves as vocal jazz liason at the popular Jay Tyer Jazz Jam at the Java Hut, Worcester MA.

Jay Tyer Group
Jay Tyer, a native of Worcester, MA, is a composer, teacher, and jazz guitarist with over 25 years experience teaching improvisation, music theory and guitar. Jay studied guitar with Rich Falco and improvisation with tenor saxophonist, Jerry Bergonzi.
Drummer, Ed Conley, started his jazz career in New York playing with the great pianist John Mehegan. Ed is a very popular musician who, although rooted in jazz, is deemed a freelance player in a number of musical settings.
Jim Allard is a saxophonist, flutist, composer, and teacher with over 20 years of experience. Jim presently teaches at Clark University, Worcester Academy and at the Joy of Music program.
Bassist, Tom Grandprey, hails from Minnesota and holds a Bachelor of Music degree from University of Minnesota and a Masters in Jazz from Boston Conservatory/Berklee College where he studied bass with Bruce Gertz.
