New England Saunas
Make sauna a part of your regular health, exercise and relaxation routine
At NE Saunas we have over 20 years of experience building and installing saunas in the U.S. and Estonia, where the sauna culture is second only to that of its northern neighbor Finland.
At NE SAUNA we look forward to assisting you in selecting the sauna that suits your needs and will complement your home.
The first step in acquiring a sauna is to decide a location for it in your house, townhouse or condo. Whether the location will be in the basement, garage, the backyard as a stand-alone sauna or within your master bath, modern saunas come in all sizes and shapes to fit all these and other locations in your home.
Saunas come in many shapes and forms. The most popular are pre-cut or pre-built (sometimes referred to as prefab) saunas, but some customers look for custom built saunas to address their unique requirements.
Another important step in selecting a sauna is selection of the wood from which the sauna is made. Your choices range from western red cedar and alder to aspen and nordic white spruce. The choice of materials will affect esthetics, performance and quality of your sauna.
The selection of a heater is another important step. Purists will always go for a wood burning heater. However, practical considerations and ease of use and maintenance make the electrical heaters also attractive. Electrical heaters can be either floor standing or wall mounted and have a variety of different control systems.
