About the Artist
Robert is well-known for his exceptional experience and visual sensation as a wedding and other events photographer throughout Boston area and New England. However first and foremost he is an artist, creative person who uses the camera and surroundings to capture compelling compositions.
Soon Robert will be represented exclusively by the prestigious Rolly-Michaux Gallery located at 290 Dartmouth St. in the Back Bay of Boston. Currently Artist Proofs are available directly from the artist.
Philosophy
A photographer should be invisible; seeing but going unseen.

All of Robert`s packages start with unlimited time and ownership of the digital originals or negatives. Your precious memories belong to you and Robert is there to capture all of them as they occur.
Hallmarks of Robert`s style include observation, beyond what is natural presence of mind and a much commented upon unobtrusiveness. Combined with an eye for composition, trained by years of experience and teaching, Robert captures the fleeting moment as it unfolds and provides a portfolio of hundreds of candid pictures for the couple to enjoy. Along with this, posed family and friends round out the complete package and make for excellent albums and framed images.
Besides Weddings, Robert photographs Anniversaries, Birthdays, Bat Mitzvahs, Bar Mitzvahs, Corporate Events and other special occasions. Like Weddings, Robert brings his unique approach and compositional style to each event: capturing hundreds of candid images and posed portraits.
Art
Robert`s Fine Art images are printed on archival Crane & Company`s 100% cotton paper using the pigment giclee printing process. All work is signed and numbered. Currently there is a limited amount of Artist Proofs available.
Rolly-Michaux Gallery, known throughout New York and New England for its fine collection of Joan Miro, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso and other top 20th Century Artists, will soon exclusively feature the work of photographer Robert Castagna. A gallery exhibit is scheduled for December of 2006. The exhibition will will include limited editions prints of the Kyoto in Spring Series and more.
